We are Hungerford Town Juniors Under 7 Hawks. We may be a little bit small but we have big hearts! Our team spirit is what drives us to play our best and give it our all in every match.

 

From the moment we step onto the field, we are focused on supporting and encouraging each other.

 

Whether we win or lose, we know that we can always count on our teammates to have our backs.

We strive to be good sports, to show respect to our opponents, and to always give 100% effort in every match.

 

Together, we are not just a collection of individuals playing football. We are a team that shares a bond that goes beyond the game. We are Hawks!

What We Are Learning

In our last few sessions we have been working on SPAM!

Sneaky

  • Being aware of and covering unmarked 'sneaky men' when defending

  • Getting forward in numbers when we are attacking so that we are the sneaky men

Passing

  • Improving our passing skills

  • Looking for the forward pass when attacking

Attacking

  • Shooting and tap-ins

Movement

  • Passing and moving

  • We are always on the move!

In the next few weeks we will continue to work on our SPAM skills, but we also start to look at at Double C's:

Dribbling, side-to-side tip taps, drag-backs, and flip-flaps

Constant Communication

Making sure we are always talking to each other on the pitch and listening off it.
