Information For Visiting Teams
Welcome to Hungerford Town Juniors FC! We're excited to host visiting teams for matches and tournaments at our club. To help make your visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible, we've created this webpage with all the information you'll need to find us, park your car, access the pitch, and use our facilities.
We're committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits our club. We ask that all visitors respect our no-smoking policy and help us keep our grounds clean and tidy.
We hope you enjoy your visit to Hungerford Town Juniors FC, and we look forward to welcoming you to our club soon!
No Smoking and Dog Policies
Both of our venues are school playing pitches and therefore we operate a strict no smoking and no vaping policy.
You may be asked to leave the playing area if you are found not to complying with this policy
In addition, we cannot risk having dog excrement on pitches where school children will be playing. So, we also need to have a firm no dogs policy.
Even if you think your dog will not make a mess on the pitch, please do not bring them anywhere on the pitches (including tying them up on the perimeter).
We play at two venues in Hungerford; on the Hungerford Primary School playing fields (accessed via Bulpit Lane) and on the John O'Gaunt School pitches. Please check with the relevant HTJFC Team manager which venue you will be playing at. Both pitches are natural grass surfaces.
Hungerford Town Primary School Playing Fields
Note: Use the above address and postcode when navigating to the pitches and not the address for 'Hungerford Primary School' as this will take you to the wrong entrance.
On-street parking on and around Bulpit Lane. There is also a small car park next to the skate park. Please be considerate when parking and do not block entrances to driveways or constrict roads.
Parking within the Hungerford Town Football club is not permitted.
Access to the Primary School playing fields is via the Hungerford Town Football Club ground. Please walk through the main club gate, down behind the stand on the left-hand side pitch, around to the back of the stand at the far end. There is gateway in the far corner giving access to the pitches.
There are toilets onsite and our new Coffee Cabin is now open serving hot drinks and snacks.
John O'Gaunt School Pitches
There is parking at the John O'Gaunt School in the car park by the Rainbows Daycare Nursery. Please note that there is a one-way system in operation at the school, so enter the car park using the second entrance to the JOG (furthest out from town and nearest the Rugby club) and exit by driving along the front of the school and out of the other gate.
To access to the JOG pitches use the gate by the car park and walk down the side of the school. The grass pitches can be reached by turning left before the all-weather 3G pitches.
3G Pitch Use:
The 3G pitch at the JOG is brand-new and we want to keep it in top condition. Therefore, the following rules are in place to protect the pitch and players.
The use of certain footwear (by players) is not permitted.
All footwear (including that of coaching staff) must be clean and free from mud/dirt .
Players are advised to have covered legs.
Only players and coaching staff are permitted on the playing surface. Parents, siblings, spectators, etc. must remain behind the barrier in the designated spectator area at all times.
There are no toilets facilities onsite or catering at the JOG pitches. Toilets are available at the nearby Rugby club.
